Heartwood College of Art's: Paint the 'Bunk (Art Show)
Location: Brick Store Museum Program Center
Heartwood College of Art is hosting an art exhibition called “Paint the ‘Bunk” at the Brick Store Museum in Kennebunk, September 3rd and 4th. This event will celebrate the uniqueness and beauty of the working Town of Kennebunk, the “only town so named in the world”. There will be 200 pieces for sale at $200 each on a first come first purchase basis. The opening will be at the Brick Store Museum’s Program Center on Friday evening, September 3rd, 4:00-7:00 PM and continues on Saturday, 10:00-7:00. Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse Open House (Open House)
Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Location: South Portland, ME
Spring Point Lighthouse has the unique distinction of being the only caisson-style lighthouse accessible by land and open for public tours. The Spring Point Ledge Light Trust frequently holds Open Houses allowing the public to actually enter and explore the lighthouse. A small fee of $5.00 is charged to support the Trust's preservation efforts.

“Two Sides of the Classical Guitar” will feature two musical styles contrasted with brilliance in this performance by renowned Latin acoustic guitarist David Bullard, accompanied by classical guitarist Brian Cullen. As a New England critic recently wrote: "All of us music lovers in Mid-Coast Maine are lucky to have this pair of virtuosic guitar players in our midst. While hearing Cullen and Bullard play back to back one is struck by the broad range of musical styles that can by produced by the mere six strings of the classical guitar"

Community Supper to Benefit Rain for the Sahel and Sahara (fundraiser)

PORTSMOUTH — Robert's Maine Grill, in Kittery, Maine, will host a “Community Supper” on September 21st and 28th to help support RAIN. RAIN’s mission is to work with nomadic peoples of West Africa to improve their lives through education, water security, agriculture, and income-producing activities. Every Tuesday night Robert’s Maine Grill, Route 1, in Kittery offers a “Community Supper” starting at 5PM. The main focus of the supper is a $12, 3 course menu – a mid-week “recession buster” offering. The menus are in the spirit of Robert’s style: Maine Comfort Food with an updated twist. Robert’s regular dinner menu is also available. To add to the community spirit of it, each Tuesday Robert’s donates a portion of proceeds from the evening to a local non-profit. World renowned spiritual teacher, Dave Oshana will be hosting an introductory seminar here at the St. Lawrence presenting his own Enlightenment Transmission work. Seeking spiritual enlightenment all his life, Oshana eventually found it in June 2000 and since has been fully committed in helping others awaken to their own enlightenment, raising awareness of the consciousness within as well as working to raise ones energy and sense of purpose. Oshana’s teaching approach is practical, directed and immediately effective.
